J. Michale Haubert

CPA - President

Michale is a native Arizonan having lived in Bisbee, as well as in Tucson. Michale graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1986 and started his own CPA firm in 1988.

Michale provides a wealth of estate planning and business services to a broad base of clients. He has over 30 years experience assisting clients with their tax and business matters. Michale is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Aircraft Owners/Pilots Association and the Better Business Bureau.

While Michale is not at the office, he enjoys flying airplanes, ballroom dancing, and spending time with his wife traveling the country.

Linda Parent

Operations Manager

Linda joined the firm in March, 2017, bringing with her more than 25 years experience in small business accounting and property management. She helps dozens of local businesses with day-to-day bookkeeping and closing accounting periods. Among the JMH clients she services are numerous construction contractors, restaurants, mechanic shops, and an array of nonprofit organizations, including a charter school and a nationally recognized health education organization.

As our Accounting Manager, Linda also manages staff, clients, firm day to day activities, and work load. She works diligently to maintain client and staff relations, making sure we have happy staff and happy clients.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Linda moved to Tucson with her husband, Ken, in 2012 after raising three beautiful daughters. When she's not crunching numbers, Linda enjoys exploring and touring Arizona with her husband in their RV.

Leonilo Larriva

Accounting Associate

Leonilo Larriva is an Accounting Associate at J Michale Haubert CPA PC since November 2017. He has a Bachelor's of Science in Finance from Southern Columbia University and is currently working towards acquiring his Certified Public Accountant certification.

In his time with the firm, Leonilo has assisted in several of the daily bookkeeping activities that make up the financial side of the business. He currently manages payroll processing, W-2's, 1099's, sales tax returns, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns for our corporate and small business clients. He also assists in data entering the financial information for all of our firm's corporate and small business clients, providing the strong foundation on which our firm's corporate tax returns are built.

Leonilo has a culinary background and enjoys cooking for his long-time girlfriend as well as for family and friends. Leonilo also enjoys music, sports, television shows, and movies. You will most likely find Leonilo out at a U of A sporting event, a concert, the movie theater, or the latest restaurant hot spot.

Melissa Reeves

Executive Administrative Assistant

Melissa is a native Arizonan, born and raised in Tucson. She came to our firm in May, 2018 bringing with her over 15 years' experience in CPA office management. She runs our front desk and brings to our office a positive energy. She manages our clients' needs with grace and style.

Her core responsibilities include greeting clients, answering phones, managing client data, managing tax package work flow, collections, and anything else we may need her to do. She is an integral part of our firm, and we could not run it without her.

When Melissa is not smiling at work, she spends her free time with her family 4-wheeling in the desert, camping, and fishing.

Sydney Parent

Bookkeeper

Sydney began at the firm in late 2018 as a bookkeeping intern, assisting with sales tax, payroll, payroll tax reporting, W2 and 1099 preparation. She also assisted with administrative work, functioning as a backup for our firm Administration Manager. After graduating high school in May, 2019, she became a full-time staff member as a Bookkeeper. She is now being further trained to assist in tax and accounting data entry and financial statement reconciliation.

David L. Hausman

CPA, CGMA

David joined our firm in February, 2020. He is originally from the suburbs of Cleveland Ohio. He graduated from Cleveland State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a major was Accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio in November, 1975 and in June, 2020 he was licensed in Arizona. He holds the certification as a Chartered Global Management Accountant since 2000. He is a member in good standing with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He owned his own firm, D L Hausman & Co. CPA's for over 35 years until he retired in 2017 to sail around the world with his wife in their 46' sailboat, Liberte'. Upon completion his wife and he moved to Arizona. He works as Management Consulting and CFO to small business up to $25 million in sales. He has assisted his clients in bookkeeping, budgeting, cash flow management, taxes, business succession planning, business issues, human resource issues, computers and International tax and accounting.

Believing in giving back to the community, David volunteers at many non-profit organizations with the longest being a non-paid CFO for an organization for 10 year.

When he is not in the office you will find him sailing, biking, hiking and discovering new places with his wife as they continue to explore the world for new adventures.
